Chesebro Crossing Bridge
Crews have finished the concrete work on the bridge deck, prepared the approach areas, and removed temporary supports (falsework). In August, crews will pour approach slabs for the bridge and continue electrical, drainage, and retaining wall construction. Stone veneers will be applied to the pilasters and an antique finish will be applied to the bridge rails. Please expect flagman directing traffic on the bridge with minor delays as construction crews work in the area.
Northbound Highway 101 On- and Off-ramps
Crews will construct curbs, gutters, and driveway connections for the northbound off-ramp as well as on Palo Camado Canyon Road/Chesebro Road. Paving will continue for the new on- and off-ramps. Drainage and lighting improvements will be installed. Traffic signals will be installed at the intersection of the northbound off- and on-ramp at Chesebro and Palo Comado Canyon Roads.
The majority of construction throughout the month will occur behind safety barriers with lanes and ramps open. Please visit the detour webpage to view maps for upcoming temporary closures: https://www.chesebrocrossing.com/detours.
Northbound and southbound on- and off-ramps at Chesebro Road
- Temporary, short-term closures for the movement of materials and equipment
- Drivers can use the on- and off-ramps at Kanan Road and Liberty Canyon Road as detours.
Palo Comado Canyon Road
- Flagmen will direct traffic as needed near the freeway overcrossing between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm.
Construction of public works projects is an essential government service even during current health measures. Our teams are working to ensure that these needed improvements are built while accommodating safe working conditions. Please be cautious while driving through the area and remember to "Slow for the Cone Zone."
